Exhibition
We’ve always been a fan of Mr. Ian Wright (the pixel-obsessed illustrator, not the footballer), and we’re very impressed that he has his first New York solo show from Thursday April 20th at The Christopher Henry Gallery. Mr. Wright has been busy – each image in the show entitled Mass Production is made from 2,800 one-inch button badges – I sincerely pity his thumbs. Above are Wright’s Chuck Close and Andy Warhol – perfect subjects for some pop art pixilation. Link (via Newstoday)

Andrew Rae wants to fish for tiny mermaids, Anthony Burrill wants to go everywhere do everything and Modern Toss want to tell their boss where to stick it. They are just three of the 21 illustrators invited to answer the big question. See all 21 at the website where you can pre-order all of the illustrations as a set of postcards. Or do it tomorrow.

The Image Now gallery in Dublin is showing “forty-eight posters” by Swiss graphic design legend Josef Müller-Brockmann from May 31st. Both the website and the catalogue look as though they do justice to the work on show.
If you’re a JMB fan then check out the incredible animation inspired by Müller-Brockmann’s timeless posters by Gary Butcher (he doesn’t just blog for 30gms you know). It was featured in Creative Review’s Digital Vision competition and for the first time it’s online here.
