Oil on Tower Block

At first sending 250,000 multi-coloured ‘bouncy balls’ down the streets of San Francisco for a Sony Bravia television ad seemed pretty cool. On the other hand the new Bravia advert directed by Jonathan Glazer takes the previous idea of flooding an environment with colour to a whole new literal level.

An official release date has not yet been announced by Sony, however the recent photos posted up on the Sony Bravia microsite suggest that its going to be as epic as the first.  The advert focuses around the dramatic idea of blasting thousands of gallons paint across the fascia of an empty multi-storey high rise in Glasgow with fireworks. This was with the help of 70,000 litres of paint, 358 single bottle bombs, 33 sextuple air cluster bombs, 22 Triple hung cluster bombs, 268 mortars, 33 Triple Mortars and 22 Double mortars - quite a militant advert itinerary some may say.

One can only imagine that like the previous Bravia installment the finished piece will similarly be intensified by slow motion and an infectious accompanying sound track.
