Crisis in Downing Street

Brace yourself for a political scandal. The zero on the door at Number 10 Downing Street is wonky donkey. I’ve always thought that it looked odd but trusted that the political powers that be knew best. Noisy Decent Graphics thinks that it’s intentional, designed to be seen from Whitehall. It’s an interesting theory and it does look slightly less wrong from an angle but surely aren’t most postcard views are from the front? My vote goes with the official explanation, that the previous number was badly affixed and the current number is a nod to that. How quaint! For the record I’m not happy about the kerning either.
