Blowing in the wind

Dutch artist Theo Jansen makes kenetic skeleton scultures which walk in the wind. They are incredible, at first I didn’t believe they were real, they move so beautifully they almost appear to be CGI. Eventualy he wants to put these animals out in herds on the beaches, so they will live their own lives. Genius! How long until we see his creations in a car or telecomunications ad? One of these awesome creatures is on view at Mass MOCA, in North Adams, MA as part of The Believers show.
